Low Tide And Lemon Pie
Surfite is one of my favorite materials to work with. It is formed from the resin that drips onto the floor during surfboard making. As each board is made, the resin pools on the floor building up rainbow layers that are formed into cabochons (like a bead but flat backed and no hole). California Surfite is obviously my fav and that's what the particular piece is made from. I've hand set the surfeit into sterling and made a button out of it. Picking up color from the surfeit itself, I chose my beads carefully. Carnelian, sunstone, agate, amethyst, fluorite, turquoise, lamp work glass and labradorite. Ive included some fun dangles and it buttons on to a saddle leather loop. There are two loops. If the smaller fits better, simply cut off the larger.
