Have you ever heard of Surfite? When surfboards are painted they are laid out and resin is poured over them. The excess resin then spills over onto the floor. Day after day this process is repeated using various colors. After the resin builds too high it needs to be removed from the shop's floor. It is removed in slabs and later cut into smaller slabs. Eventually a stone cutter will purchase them and shape them. Now you have Surfite. Here I have set the surfite into sterling silver. Hung from a white enameled circle on black leather with a sterling lobster clasp.
